Director of Sales
Job Description:
Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing (Consumer Business Group), the Direcotr of Sales will manage the assigned carrier account(s) to achieve company sell-in and sell-out targets. He/she will:
1) Sell-in
· Build, maintain, and strenthen customer relationships to build strategic partnerships with carrier(s) and maximize placement of company products within the account assigned
· Manage complex sales situation; proactively conduct strategic account reviews with all assigned customers on a regular basis to review needs and trends.
· Collaborate with all departments and take full ownership of the end-to-end sales cycle and CRM activities
· Responsible for organization’s revenue and contribution profit targets specific to the assigned account
2) Sell Out & Sell Through
· Collaborate with internal and external channel teams to develop and execute channel strategy and programs at national retail, dealer & B2B channels to meet sell through goals and objectives
· Collaborate with internal and external marketing teams to develop and execute above-the-line and below-the-line marketing programs to promote sales
3) General
· Stay abreast of all cutting-edge technology product offerings and competitive information in the high tech industry
· Conduct business analytics and produce accurate sales forecasts
· Take ownership in answering RFPs and contract negotiation when applicable
· Up to ~25-30% of travel to customer locations and industry related conferences in North America and/or overseas as required
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
· Solid understanding of Canadian telecom industry
· Work experience in OEM selling into carriers with track record of success, and/or experience working with carriers
· Knowledge in wireless, wireline, and wearable products and technology
· 7 + years of B2B account management experience as a seasoned account executive / business development professional selling mobile devices
· Minimum - Bachelor's degree; MBA and engineering degree an asset
