Product Development Coordinator Job in Events Industry Sydney Australia

The Role

Imagine being heavily involved in the research and purchasing of stock for three fabulous new collections every six months. This key part of the Product Development Coordinator role is to support our Styling Team to bring their visions to life. You will use an extensive database of loyal suppliers to research and explore new product options, match potential purchases to our collections, and present at least 25 new and inspiring products each week to our business leaders. Wildcard products are encouraged!!!
Reporting directly into the heads of our design teams, you will be mentored and supported to achieve our shared purchasing goals. Research and Development will make up 50% of this role, and the remaining encompasses the administration and processing required to showcase our stock. This means coordinating photoshoots, uploading photos to our website and internal servers, showcase stock in our beautiful showroom, and work with the Warehouse team to manage our product database and execute the annual stocktakes. In addition you will obtain quotes, place orders and manage the receipt of items.

Who are we looking for?
Someone who appreciates design and knows what looks good, and is passionate about learning from the best Stylists in the industry. You need not come up with designs, but want to support those that do.
Someone who knows the events industry, furnishings and purchasing. Some experience in these areas will put you in great stead.
Someone who keeps abreast of trends in lighting, linen, furniture and accessories.
Someone who likes to be organised
A person with experience in buying, procurement or events, and with the stamina to work in a passionate and fast-paced environment.
