Required Skills : 
•    Candidate needs to be able to create automated test scripts/framework from scratch.
•    Client is moving to DevOps so a candidate with Devops is a huge plus
•    Client wants someone to create/ build out a framework, not just execute a framework and manage it.
•    The client wants someone to be able to figure out what automation testing tool is best for their team and run with it.

The Software QA Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, creating, implementing and executing automated and manual test strategies for various project teams. This person will collaborate closely with the QA and project teams on testing strategies, automated testing scripts, project plans and risk mitigation strategies. This includes firmware, client-server or web applications, mobile app, XML validation, customer specific applications or reports, test data development and related documentation. This role requires proficiency in test planning and strategizing, strong knowledge and experience with testing methodologies and processes and strong hands-on experience in developing manual and coding automated testing scripts.
 
Scope of Services:
•    Plans, creates, and maintains functional and cross-functional tests (including web, mobile, and APIs).
•    Uses scripting to develop and maintain automated tests working with testing tools
•    Works closely with developers, business and other quality analysts in a highly collaborative environment, specifically:
o    Awareness of test automation and ability to spot points of value in the process, and working with agile developers to ensure appropriate levels of automation
o    Working with business analysts to ensure appropriate acceptance criteria for user stories
•    An understanding of how testing fits into continuous delivery
•    An ability to triage failures, identify root-cause, and define corrective actions
•    Passion for technology and software quality
•    Demonstrate experience with exploratory testing, not just working to test plans
•    Defines comprehensive scenarios and variations in data to adequately perform testing.
•    Cross-trains and mentors less experiences QA Team Members.
•    An understanding of retail technology operations including POS integration, QSR experience a plus
•    High energy, self-starter and flexible to change.
•    Other duties assigned as needed.
