Enterprise Compliance Manager Job in Sydney Australia

The role sits in Enterprise Compliance, which acts as an independent advisory, control and monitoring function which establish frameworks, policies and processes for monitoring and reporting of compliance risk. You will be responsible for;
  • Monitoring the compliance framework and related processes and advising the business. You will monitor the 1st Line to ensure that business units are operating in line with relevant bank laws and regulations.
  • Maintain the monitoring plan assessing the effectiveness of the system and look to continuously drive improvement the operating model for compliance
  • Conduct Compliance Reviews' to identify and assess current and any emerging compliance trends
  • Analysing compliance data and investigating incidents and issues and areas to address for future improvement
  • Participate in Strategic initiatives to understand challenges and drivers for change and where compliance fits in


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
  • Compliance experience and familiarity with compliance management frameworks and ability to analyse compliance datasets for various areas of the bank
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline e.g. law or accounting
  • Compliance Advisory and monitoring experience
  • Group Compliance experience would be desirable
  • Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders
  • Able to interpret and apply legislation and frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence
