Job Description:*
The Pre-AP program is seeking a Senior Project manager to manage critical and time-sensitive work associated with the launch of five new Grade 9 Pre-AP courses and their supporting instructional materials and assessments. This person will assume management of several projects already underway and will be responsible for new work as additional projects are required. The Senior Project manager will work with cross-functional teams comprised of staff from various departments within the College Board, as well as external vendors and consultants to rigorously plan, executive/monitor and control, and transition all work outcomes into an operational environment. To this end, the Senior Project manager will establish and maintain a system for project management integrating curriculum, assessment, and instructional material work to ensure scope/quality, schedule, and cost alignment.
The Senior Project manager is responsible for ensuring fulfillment of the objectives and associated benefits of projects under management by working closely with the program manager and project team members, successfully navigating the organizational landscape and associated processes, and by effectively employing industry standard knowledge, skills, tools and techniques from the project and program management domains. In addition to proven project management capabilities, the ideal candidate will have some degree of business analyst (requirements) experience.
