The Automotive A/C Specialist will be based at one of four PAE sites in Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems of motor vehicles. and will report to the Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
DUTIES:
- Responsible for maintaining a safeworkplace and ensuring thatsafety is thehighestpriority in the workplace.
- Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and QualityAssurancerequirementsand goals. Provideinformationandmaterials to thesedivisionsasnecessary to ensureadequate and legal documentation.
- Installairconditioning systems,testsystems for properfunctioning,perform emergencyrepairs,maintain tools, order supplies,and make routineadjustmentsto maximizeoperationalefficiency.
- Record data when inspecting systems,such as temperature of equipment, fuelconsumption,and hoursofoperation.
- Place fanbelt on pulleys,adjusttension, and tighten bolts.
- Bolt evaporatorunitunderdashboard or in trunk.
- Weld or bolt mounting bracketstoautomobileframe.
- Drillholesthrough interiorpanels, threadhosesthrough holes, and connecthoses to compressor,evaporator,and cool-air outlet.
- Fillcompressor with refrigerantand startsunit.
- Measure compressor pressure to determine efficiency of compressor,using gauge.
- Listen to operating unitforindications of malfunction.
- Removefaultyunitsfrom vehicles,disassemblethem,and replace worn and brokenpartsandfluid in unit.
- Make electricalconnections as required.
- Performadditionaldutiesand projects as assigned.
REQUIRED:
- MinimumAcceptableExperienceLevel:
- Five(5)years’AutomotiveAirConditioning Specialistexperience
- One(1) year experience in an Outside the ContinentalUnited States(OCONUS)environment.
·Knowledge,Skills,andAbilities:
- Abilityto operateA/Cservicemachine.
- Knowledge about the the oryand design of air conditioning,heating,refrigeration and ventilation systems be able to carry out automotivea/crepairs independently.
- Knowledge of principlesand processesinvolved in supportingautomotive a/c functionsat an overseasfacility.
- Experienceproviding excellent customerservices.
- Abilitytowork in a fast-pacedenvironment that requires handling multipletasks at a giventimeand rapidlyadapting to changing priorities and schedules.

- SecurityVetting:Alreadypossess a Moderate Risk PublicTrust(MRPT) or beableto obtain a favorableMRPTcertification priortobeing hired is required for the position.Mustmaintaineligibility at therequired certification levelfortheduration of thecontract.
- Language Skills:SatisfactoryEnglishproficiencyto meetjob requirementsand to adhereandcomply with safety,health, and securitymeasures.
- Citizenship: US Citizenship is not required.
- Medical:Successfullycomplete and passthemedicaland dentalexaminationsasrequired by PAE and our customer for deploymenttoIraq.Mustmaintain physicaland dentalrequirementsforduration of deployment.
DESIRED:
