Key responsibilities
- Attain sales target on revenue for VMware
- Regularly engaged at customer facilities and delivers high impact presentations leveraging strong licensing skills
- Understand and communicates technology roadmaps and vision and associated technical advantages of the proposed VMware solution.
- Help to Educate, Train our Core sales team to pitch VMware value added proposal
- Proactively solves customer business problems by providing expertise and by using higher complexity product and services lines to create solutions
- Manages the relationship within group of accounts to ensure VMware opportunities and solutions are identified and closed
VMware Software outside Sales Specialist is responsible for managing accounts in a given BU, focusing on developing and retaining customers, as well as Acquisition of new customers or adding software business to their existing Dell business.
Scope
- Drive increased VMware sales achieving forecast in revenue protecting and developing existing customers or acquire new customers
- Work with VMware sales counterparts to identify key accounts / opportunities
- To relate with segment generalist account managers, field and inside, for account plan definition, implementation and develop appropriate level relationships with key accounts
- Understand and support segment business plans to integrate VMware Solutions and volume licensing contracts to provide a clear indication of potential business both quarterly and beyond
- Formulate strategic account plans with clear objectives, actions, owners and sales targets
- To develop and plan account strategies and activities for specified accounts such as: managing accounts, selecting products for calls, identifying buyer influences, overcoming objections, introducing new products, making sales presentations and negotiating discount points.
- Achieve an average of 8 customers meetings per week
- Accountable for accuracy of own Opportunity information (trips and activities) on aligned accounts in SFDC
Essential requirements
- Viewed as a trusted technical advisor to the customer and uses in-depth knowledge of Dell’s 3rd party Software solutions to help customers formulate strategy and direction.
- Utilizes strategic probing to identify, evaluate, and recommend alternative business solutions.
- Engages cross functional resources, regardless of geographic location, in order to achieve goal/meet customer needs.
- Keeps account team up to speed on new Software products/services and how they can integrate with Dell solutions.
- Strong Negotiation skills
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent.
- 8-10 years proven track record of face to face selling, preferred within the IT industry.
- Proven selling ability in previous job level.
- Fluent in Swedish and English.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
- Self-starter capable of working on your own initiative.
- Models effective team behavior. Additional skills needed include the ability to manage a virtual team, work with channel partners and vendor partners.
- Preferred VMware VSP certifications
