Planning / Scheduling Engineer Job in Al-Khobar Saudi Arabia

  • Participate in all meetings (schedule review meeting, progress meeting, coordination meeting, constructability review meeting), manage all communication regarding project planning activities and issues in EPC contractor’s home office, and provide efficient feedback for all processes to PMC Team
  • Review and verify contractor’s engineering and procurement planning system, procedures and tools, making sure its alignment and integrity with other tools and contractual requirements
  • Follow up all schedule development exercise in EPC contractor’s home office including schedule baseline development and verify the effectiveness of schedule mitigation plans
  • Participate in developing overall progress report and periodical reports (weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports)
  • Review and comment on contractor’s schedule (contractor's baseline, look ahead update, any revised schedule), contractors manpower forecasts, as well as contractor’s submitted reports
  • Provide schedule impact analysis and variance analysis
  • Contribute to the EPC package road map schedule and any high level schedule update and its integration into the overall project plan
  • Provide critical paths analysis and address critical issues of the project
  • Follow up the equipment / materials delivery as well as engineering works packages issuance
  • Evaluate the resource plan and progress measurement system established by EPC contractors and participate in progress and monthly invoice evaluation exercise
  • Participate in change management process and trends analysis, and highlight potential problems with recommendations for remedial action on an “Early Warning” basis
  • Ensure changes have been incorporated in the project plan / schedule

Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering with ten years of post-graduate total work experience, 8 years in related designation / specialty and 5 years of hands on experience in related scheduling software
  • Knowledgeable in system aspects of Cost Control software
  • Self-motivated and able to clearly communicate with contractors at all levels
  • Good presentation skills and ability to provide training
  • Good communication skills
