Job Summary:
To provide risk management support with emphasis on scheduling and facilitating risk management to the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop effective risk management policies and procedures.
- Perform business, financial, operations risk analysis to impact top-line and bottom-line results and support senior management decision making. Responsibilities include data management, administration of risk documents, and development of risk management plans, providing management summaries to management, and advising on proper conduct of risk management activities.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory authorities (QFC, International standards, e.g Bassel III), regulatory circulars, memoranda and other directives on risk management as well as the periodical development of regulatory reports e.g ICAAP
- Identify and assess financial risk in various investment opportunities, quantify its financial impact to current company investment structure and mitigation solutions
- Assists management with integrating risk management with the strategy development process
- Establishes, communicates and facilitates the use of appropriate Risk Management methodologies, tools and techniques.
- Facilitates enterprise-wide risk assessments and monitors priority risks across the organization.
- Implements appropriate risk reporting to the CEO, Executive Committee, Board and senior management.
- Ensures effective alignment between the Risk Management process and internal audit and risk financing.
- Assists the CEO and the executive committee with capital and resource allocation decisions.
- Provide an independent view regarding proposed business plans and transactions and develop project risk management capabilities within the organization.
- Plans, revises and approves the financial budget for Risk Management activities.
- Ensures quality services are being offered by external consultants at acceptable rates.
- Coach and train direct subordinate to develop their skills.
- Establish performance measures, annual and long-term Risk Management goals for all direct subordinates and review each individual within the department.

- Risk assessment reported to the ARCC and ExCom
- Percentage compliance to Regulatory requirements
- Overall contribution to our strategic direction
- Timeliness and accuracy of Risk Management activities
Education and Experience Requirements:
- MBA or MSc in Finance or equivalent
- A minimum 15 years’ experience in risk management with minimum five years in Senior Management position
- In-depth understanding of statutory and legal compliance requirements.
- Good understanding of business processes as well as project management.
