WHS Coordinator - Construction Job in Sydney Australia

Role Requirements:
  • Provide informed advice to the Heritage Stoneworks Director, staff and clients on safety, and quality management matters for infrastructure and construction planning and delivery.
  • Identify, assess, monitor and control of health, safety, and quality risks at pre-construction and construction stages of projects and in manufacturing operations.
  • Review implementation of Heritage Stoneworks Management Systems including WHSE&Q management system and construction contractors’ implementation of their SEQ Management Plans, including on-site implementation.
  • Identify and implement WHSE and Best Practice initiatives, including safe design and contract administration, aimed at maintaining Heritage Stoneworks’ position as an industry leader in the management of WHSEQ.
  • Contribute in reinforcing a culture focused on achieving safe sustainable results and to the implementation of learning and development programs for WHSEQ Management.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with Heritage Stoneworks staff at all levels, as well as a number of other key state government agencies, clients, contractors, employers’ associations, professional associations and unions.
  • Prepare and analyse management reports and incident reports; coordinate and monitor the implementation of the recommended improvements in consultation with relevant stakeholders
Skills and experience Required:
  • Project management experience
  • Construction white card
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 (2015), AS4801 and ISO1400
  • Field experience conducting workplace inspections in the building and construction industry.
  • Incident investigation and RTW experience
  • Degree qualified
