Business Analyst (Performance Reporting Ecosystem) Job in San Francisco, CA United States

This position reports to the Private Wealth Management PMO Program Manager and supports the development and implementation of Wealth Management's technology roadmap with respect to the Performance Reporting Ecosystem project. This role has a key responsibility within First Republic Bank to ensure that our client and advisor experience within Wealth Management maintains the highest standards of the Bank. 


The Business Analyst works with subject matter experts from the business, vendors and the project team to define requirements for Performance Reporting. They will also translate these requirements into functional specifications and detailed data and process flow design documents, and participate in the full development process life-cycle from concept through testing, implementation, and support. 


In addition, the Business Analyst will assist the team in planning for Salesforce integration to the ecosystem and the business and deliver requirements for full Salesforce deployment in 2019. This will entail a deep understanding of Wealth Manager and CSA daily tasks and long term goals and how to build/replicate/improve processes, data quality and work flows within an integrated ecosystem. This includes documenting enhancements for future development of the ecosystem. 


Responsibilities 


* Collaborate with project team, Product Managers, business and technology partners to jointly identify data needs required to deliver the next generation of wealth management technology solutions. 

* Ensure business requirements are being met with the delivered business functionality for integration between Salesforce and First Republic Bank's systems to support key functions and highlight differences and potential changes/solutions. 

* Develop and communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications, verbally and through written documentation, to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood. 

* Work closely with developers and vendors to debug or rectify issues. 

* Actively engage with the project team to help determine the approach for adoption and rollout and then lead the adoption and rollout for Wealth Managers and CSAs with the new functionality and improved processes. 

* Communicate results and insights with project teams and stakeholders (e.g. through live presentations and ongoing analysis/reports). 

* Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities. 

* Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor. 

* Responsibilities include the following: 


1. Adhering to and complying with all applicable federal laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.) 

2. Adhering to Bank policies and procedures 

3. Completing required training 

4. Identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer 

5. Knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank 


Qualifications 

Experience & Education: 


* BA in Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, or Engineering required 

* 3-6 years of relevant work experience with background in portfolio management, working with various custodians and workflows 

* 3-6 years of relevant experience in business analysis and/or data management 

* 3-6 years of relevant work experience with Salesforce integrations 

* Technical Skills: 

* Excellent attention to detail 

* Knowledge of discretionary portfolio management with ability to translate business practices into business requirements 

Professional Skills/Competency: 


* Ability to demonstrate solution to Wealth Managers and CSAs & trading professionals (front office facing) 

* Strong quantitative and analytical skills - ability to quickly analyze issues to identify key insights and apply them to the business 

* Clear, high-level understanding of complex data models and workflows 

* Focus on development/ improvement of process to support continuous evolution of a more competitive and profitable Bank 

* Excellent communication skills, including ability to present effectively to both business and technical audiences at all levels of the organization 

* Strong orientation to clients, including demonstrated ability to understand needs and apply this knowledge to drive data enhancements 


Strong understanding of traditional and alternative asset class investment data, including but not limited to: equity, fixed income, private equity, real estate, derivatives, mutual funds, ETFs, global assets, and foreign exchange.
