Business Development Specialist - Healthcare Job in Dubai United Arab Emirates

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, or any related field is required. Graduate degree is a plus

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with medical & or surgical background

• Responsible to propose and research on developing new business lines, formulating new strategies, expanding the business portfolio in the surgical & medical business in the GCC

• Responsible for developing and delivering marketing initiatives and supporting the business development for the company’s medical sector

• Works closely with the Sales Director to develop and execute a strategy for discovering and securing new business opportunities either locally or regionally in the Surgical & Medical Business

• Identify and evaluate specific new profitable business opportunities by adding new principles to open new lines which are missing from the Surgical & Medical Business portfolio i.e. areas for expansion and development

• Works collaboratively with Sales Director to develop, monitor and adapt a business / marketing plan for area of responsibility and to support division goals

• Work up detailed business opportunity scenarios to evaluate targeted opportunities and present to Sales Director

• Fosters beneficial relationships with business partners potential clients, and business contacts in order to attract new business and enhancing organizational reputation

• Focus on the exploration of, identifying and prioritization of business opportunities in the Middle East Region that are aligned with current strategies and future franchise opportunities

• Perform company, market, competitor, and industry research and analysis and prepare profiles

• Perform detailed financial analysis and develop valuation models for proposed transactions

• Function as a Market knowledge expert and strategic partner with the Sales Director and international personnel to develop and execute business solutions

• Responsible for hunting and driving sales for new business opportunities and partners to develop negotiation strategies and positions by integrating company strategies and operations, examining risks and potentials, estimating customer needs and goals

• Stay appropriately networked and keep abreast of trends, news, events, and deadlines, so that all possible, new or enhanced opportunities are exploited

• Participate in the targeting and evaluation of new business acquisitions according to strategic targets

• Develop broad knowledge of medical technology industry and AZM’s business to further develop leadership potential

• Must have effective leadership in the development of business strategies, tactics and solutions and have commercial awareness

• Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally with limited advanced notice

• Must have strong computer skills in spreadsheet, presentation and work processing software (Excel, PowerPoint, word, etc..) 

• Must be familiar with data analysis and reporting and be goal oriented and realistic

• Must have good Communication Proficiency, Time Management skills, Complex Technical Product Information skills, Negotiation skills to close deals

• Effective written and oral communication skills

• Good English communications skills 

• Arabic speaking candidates are preferred 

• Candidates who have experience in pharmaceutical or have been in medical or surgical instruments distributers are preferred

• Candidate will map and identify opportunities in both KSA & UAE

Salary & Benefits:

  • Total Salary range is between 13K AED – 14K AED (All inclusive of basic, and transportation) depending on candidate experience. Petrol card with 1K AED limit/ month & Phone 200AED
