RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare complex tax returns
- Perform an effective review of all types of tax returns
- Identify and resolve relevant tax issues
- Explore planning opportunities
- Insure that returns and work papers are complete and ready for Principal review
- Perform tax research
- Fulfill client requests
- Identify opportunities
- Coordinate with other advisors
- Plan and supervise tax return preparation
- Perform administrative responsibilities to assist the Principals with the overall management of the Firm
- Communicate directly with clients and their advisors
- Communicate with other team members on status of projects and assistance needed
- Mentor and train others
- Participate in business development activities
- Represent the Firm in a favorable and professional manner with clients, at events, and within the professional community
- Long hours during tax season (January through April) are balanced by the accrual of comp time
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of public accounting (tax) experience
- Active CPA required
- Degree in Accounting or related field required
- Masters in Taxation a plus, but not required
- Demonstrated leadership ability and an interest in contributing to the professional community
- Exceptional writing skills
- Strong accounting, analytical, technical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities
- Willingness to travel locally on a limited basis
