Technical Help Desk Technician Job in Sacramento, California Area United States

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Designs, tests, installs and configures computer hardware and software.
  • Assists management in defining, implementing and enforcing system standards and procedures.
  • Configures PC and network equipment according to department standards. Identifies, evaluates, and corrects hardware, software, or operations problems.
  • Monitors and troubleshoots system; performs system administration functions as necessary.
  • Educates clients on systems usage and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
  • Installation, configuration, and repair of current software and hardware including Microsoft operating systems, MS Office Professional, MS Project, Acrobat, IE, MS Administrative tools, Disk Imaging software, HP JetAdmin, and HP scanners, printers, and CD writers.
  • Hardware troubleshooting to board level.
  • Use of internet search engines
  • Acquisition/installation of software drivers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Self manage/self direct workloads and scheduling efficiently.
  • Travel to remote jobsites.
  • Maintain accurate time and expense records.
  • Work on step-ladder, lift and carry up to 75lbs, understand and follow construction site safety precautions.
  • Provide reliable transportation.
  • Work varying daily schedules dependent upon client production needs including occasional evenings or weekends.
