Talent & Education Director Job at SEPHORA Dubai, United Arab Emirates

 POSITION PURPOSE:

  • The Director of Talent & Education will lead and manage the Talent & Education team, designing, developing, and delivering all talent & training initiatives across 5 countries (United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain). He / She will implement a comprehensive strategic workforce plan to help make Sephora the best place to work. The focus will be on creating a cohesive Talent & Development strategy while executing learning solutions to accelerate performance for both HQ & Retail employees.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead, develop, & engage the Talent and Education team.
  • Partner with the HRD to determine organizational, talent, and education strategy that result in overall success of people development initiatives.
  • Develop and oversee capability and skill needs analysis in partnership with Sephora Business Leaders and HR Business Partners to identify opportunities to accelerate performance and develop and execute high-impact learning content and scalable solutions (virtual, instructor led, e-learning).
  • Lead team to design and deliver innovative tools, engaging learning, change and leadership development experiences from core curriculum to function-specific programs.
  • Implement effective methods to optimize the learning roadmap, budget and allocate resources, and market programs internally.
  • Partner with EME training team to adapt global Sephora content and ensure relevance and effectiveness in local region.
  • Drive brand and category education strategy aligned with current regional business priorities.
  • Nurture brand partnerships and elevate brand education through programs, workshops, digital sessions, in-store sessions, etc.
  • Oversee delivery of makeup, skincare, hair & fragrance trainings.
  • Design and deliver adhoc learning initiatives requested by the business.
  • Foster relationships with key external partners such as third-party training vendors & Sephora EME training team.
  • Own all internal mobility requests and foster relationships with key business partners such as Chalhoub, LVMH, and Sephora Global HR.
  • Manage the OMR process & career conversations with internal talents.
  • Serve as the primary contact connecting LVMH brands for all talent needs. Organize and run monthly meetings to increase retention & mobility of internal talent.
  • Oversee the developmental needs for select employee groups (E.g. high-potential). Create meaningful programming solutions as needed. Team/Department Leadership.
  • Project manage the new Rise Performance Management process and drive all change management components.
  • Conduct organization needs assessments to identify opportunities and make recommendations that support efficiency, business agility, and growth.
  • Deliver superior stakeholder experience by being seen as a trusted business partner, specifically to: HR Business Partners, Codir Leaders, Retail & HQ employees.


MUST HAVE:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Talent Management or related experience in building, delivering, and measuring high-impact learning experiences to a diverse audience.
  • Experience in the Retail industry, ideally with exposure to both corporate and stores.
  • Strong leadership experience, leading and developing high performing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in building, delivering, and measuring high-impact learning experiences for various audiences.
  • Experience utilizing multiple principles, tools and delivery methods within the following disciplines: organizational effectiveness, change leadership, organizational design, learning and development, & talent management.
  • Exceptional ability to consult and collaborate with Human Resources and senior business leaders on business strategy, organizational design and talent optimization.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset; superior problem-solving skills with a focus on simplification.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Experience using data to identify insights and problem-solve and ability to switch seamlessly between strategic thinking and tactical execution within a fast-paced environment.
