An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate Regulatory Specialist to support one of our expanding businesses, within the nutrition sector.
Reporting to the Associate Director Regulatory Affairs (based in Singapore), this position is responsible for managing and driving all spectrums of regulatory affairs, based in North Ryde.
This stand alone, however very supported role, will be responsible for providing strategy and direction, whilst building and maintaining a high level of partnership with all business functions by providing timely and accurate regulatory support.
To be successful in taking on this challenging and exciting role, applicants with experience in Regulatory Affairs from within Nutrition, FMCG or a closely related industry.
The main aspects of this role include:
- Support and timely submission/approval of best in class regulatory documentation (including product submissions/re-registrations, novel ingredient applications, additive petitions, claims petitions and deficiency responses); analyse and identify regulatory requirements against project needs
- Advise on Codes, Regulations, Laws, and provide timely and up to date information on current & emerging regulations in order to widen and increase knowledge of the regulatory environment for the business
- Review and approval of promotional material ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations
- Develop and maintain positive relationship with stakeholders either internal or external including key opinion leaders and key influencers in regulatory bodies & industry associations
- Support senior leadership on interactions with trade associations
Ideally we are looking for someone that has business partnering skills coupled with strong technical expertise, and some experience working in a professional business capacity with FSANZ.
In addition to the above, the relevant experience in required:
- Science Degree or equivalent.
- Regulatory experience within the food or pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of FSANZ Food Standards Code and Australian / New Zealand Food Acts highly regarded.
- Experience in dealing with Devices, Regulatory bodies like Medsafe, TGA, and other statutory authorities such as the ACCC is considered an advantage
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal and experience in dealing with government agencies at all levels
- Proficient in Word, and Excel
