MAIN PURPOSE
To ensure that the relevant vessel calls run efficiently without issue, solving any operational issues and ensure all cargo shipped to correct vessel minimising short shipments. Act as a focal point for internal customers when issues arise
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of Load list
- Preparation of Hazardous Manifests and Hazardous Cargo Requests
- Exec’ing of containers on to the quay for both full and empty
- Ensuring export customs clearance are entered into the Port System
- Checking container arrivals and clearances to ensure all cargoes are available to load on the intended vessel
- To liaise with Port and Agent the prospects for a call to ensure berth availability and giving correct number of lifts for optimum turn round of the vessel
- Preparation of the Port Call Reports
- Checking vendors invoices
- Arranging terminal services as required, such as Inspections / Repacking / Fumigation
- Preparation of TDR Reports
- Notifying relevant departments of intended connections and any subsequent changes
- Presentation to customs for required T2L documents, ensuring they are returned to the customer in good time
- Ensure transhipments are turned round in Port System

PRACTICAL & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- Proficient in the use of MCS Office applications
- Knowledge of FCP and CNS port community systems
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work unsociable hours
- Ability to work responsibly and without supervision
QUALIFICATIONS
- Educated to GCSE/equivalent in Maths and English (Grade C or above)
KPIS/MEASURES/LIMITS OF AUTHORITY FOR ROLE
- Resolve all invoice queries within 7 days
- Prioritise workload to ensure all vessel deadlines are met
- All containers Exec’ed prior to arrival on quay
- Port Call Reports completed within 5 calendar days
- 100% loading of all available containers
- Shipped on board reports to be sent by 1400hrs next working day
HEALTH & SAFETY
- Responsibility for ensuring that local Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed in order to ensure own safety and the safety of others
