jobs-n-jobs.com is looking for a permanent SHEQ Manager to join their Telecoms team in South Yorkshire. UK travel and occasional European travel to attend meetings will be part of the role.
Duties:
Support and assist the business to enhance and maintain the health and safety culture within the business.
Provide functional HSEQ advice, guidance and coaching to the management team and operatives within the field.
Monitor, review and enforce HSEQ compliance throughout the business via planned and random unannounced audits and inspections.
Provide guidance and assistance to the management team in relation to the investigation and reporting of accidents and incidents and take the lead role in all RIDDOR reportable accidents and incidents.
Maintain the HSEQ Management Systems and ensure that they continue to develop in line with the evolving needs of the business and our clients.
Take the lead role in all clients based and external HSEQ audits.
Provide the Managing Director and the Senior Management Team with monthly updates in relation to HSEQ performance and identify potential solutions to address any areas of weakness.
Provide guidance and assistance to subcontractors as required and monitor and review their performance via the planned and random unannounced audit and inspection regime.
Provide guidance and assistance to the operational management team in relation to the development of RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and the management of the CDM obligations on site.
Attend client HSEQ performance meetings and reviews.
Requirements for the role:
A good working knowledge of the following standards - BS OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 and preferably the ISO 14001 standard as well.
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) or working towards (NEBOSH Construction minimum).
An individual who is very self-motivated and able to manage their time and the execution of their duties without direct day to day supervision
An individual who is goal driven and has desire / passion to assist the business to enhance their HSEQ performance.
An ability to travel throughout the UK in the execution of their role and be comfortable working and supporting employees within the field as well supporting the office based support employees.
An individual who has utility or construction experience and understands the nature of the repair, maintenance and installation requirements associated with utility services and associated infrastructure.
