Project Scheduler/Coordinator Job in Brisbane Australia

You will be responsible for coordinating and resolving any significant development issues and monitoring progress against the project schedule. You will be required to gather information, monitor project progress and develop schedules and stage plans in line with key deliverables. Ideally, you have experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, including relocations, deployments and migrations.
This role is due to close at 5pm Friday the 17th of November.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide project scheduling data for reporting purposes;
  • Work with the program and project managers to understand the project activities required, dependencies and timing;
  • Provide comprehensive monitoring and reporting on projects progress to ensure effective implementation ICT project deliverables;
  • Manage activities against deadlines within a time-critical development environment to ensure that deliverables are prioritised and completed within the specified timeframes;
  • Ensure project plans, schedules, timelines and milestones are monitored using appropriate tools;
  • Contribute expertise in specialist tools and techniques; and
  • Develop and update project schedules, stage plans and product breakdown structures.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Microsoft Project and SharePoint - demonstrated skills in project scheduling;
  • Ability to manage work packages and activities;
  • Ability to gather information to understand, identify, evaluate and recommend options, and provide accurate and clear advice;
  • Ability to develop and maintain project communication channels and facilitate collaboration and open communication amongst project teams;
  • Well-developed organisational and planning skills and the ability to prioritise work in order to meet deadlines and agreed commitments; and
  • Ability to work to project deadlines within a time critical development environment.
Highly Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
  • Prince2® Project Management training or equivalent experience in a project environment;
  • Experience in Infrastructure Management with the working knowledge of ITIL frameworks;
  • Experience working in large Corporate environments and / or on ICT projects; and
  • Previous experience working in Government agencies would be advantageous.
