We have laboratories in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Wagga Wagga and Rockhampton, with the head office and main reference laboratory being located in Brisbane at Brisbane Technology Park.
Now is your opportunity to join this progressive company in an exciting time of growth. Due to an internal promotion, we require a person to join our Brisbane facility as a Sample Management Assistant. The Sample Management Team is responsible for receiving, logging-in and distributing samples to our laboratories.
Specifically the duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Receipt of samples and the entry of relevant details into our laboratory management information system (LIMS)
- Liaison with clients to clarify information in respect to their samples
- Organisation of sample collection kits and their dispatch to clients as required
- Assistance with sample preparation on an as required basis
- Assistance with management of sample storage and disposal
- Other tasks that might be identified and agreed over time.
The successful candidate would ideally:
- Be familiar with laboratory quality management systems and the requirements of NATA accreditation
- Have experience in LIMS
- Have strong attention to detail
- Possess excellent computer and communication skills
- Background knowledge in a science or laboratory discipline would be desirable
