EFA has been operating as an industry organisation for a number of years, and is now working to formalise its structure with the newly created position of CEO.
Responsibilities in this role will include:
- assisting the Board in developing industry policies, priorities, and a strategic plan to further the objects of EFA through agri-political activity;
- implementation of the strategic plan;
- reporting to the Board on the achievement of objectives and the internal administration of EFA;
- development of a proactive risk mitigation and public communications strategy; and
- development of a network of strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers.
Based in Sydney and reporting to the Board, this is an autonomous position with admin support as required. The ideal candidate will:
- be highly self-motivated;
- hold a Bachelors degree;
- have a minimum of six years' experience in executive leadership;
- have experience in advocacy and lobbying in the agri-political sector; and
- have strong negotiation, stakeholder management and communications skills.
Experience and knowledge of egg production systems would be an advantage.
