Due to unprecedented growth in clinical trials, we are seeking a Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) within the Clinical Trials and Medical Innovation Unit to support commercially funded and investigator-led research projects. Working across a range of clinical disciplines, CRNs recruit patients within both critical, acute and chronic care environments as well as contributing to an expanding clinical trial portfolio. CRNs support current and upcoming trials by working with colleagues to ensure high quality of data collected and successful trial management.

- Screening and supporting consent of trial participants
- Ensuring quality site performance with accurate study files and documentation
- Good communication and working relationships with key internal and external parties including trial sponsors, investigators, patients and research participants
- Promoting awareness of trials, and engaging clinical staff in research activities
- Meeting all governance standards required for clinical research including preparation of human research ethics documentation
Ideally the successful candidate will possess:
- Significant experience as a Research Nurse, or the ability to demonstrate a strong interest in clinical research
- Good Clinical Practice certification
- Initiative, self-motivation and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Experience in cardiology, cardiovascular diseases and/or nephrology clinical trials would be an advantage
