At flydubai the Intermediate Designer undertakes the high volume of work that comes through the business, relating to collateral material, logo execution and typography. The majority of which requires a quick turn-around. The role is responsible for tasks from the point it comes from the Production Manager to the time that it is approved. While ensuring briefs are delivered to, requested outputs are prepared to meet both the standards of flydubai and the needs of our business divisions, customers and vendors.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Activities
1. To be familiarized with production and art working in order to provide assistance to the production artist when needed.
2. Ensure that all work is delivered to the correct brand standard, playing the role of a key brand guardian.
3. Be able to write short copy convincingly and work with others to craft, ensuring the integrity of the brand tone of voice is preserved.
4. Design art and copy layouts for material to be presented by visual communications of flydubai, whether digital or print.
5. Design fast turn-around ads for digital execution, the majority of your work will be for digital execution.
6. Understand and challenge the brief to ensure that your work meets the requirements of the business.
7. To present new ideas to internal clients, when requested. Create buy-in for the idea to ensure that the brand personality is not compromised.
8. Be accountable for ensuring the output is on brief and on brand.
9. Work closely with the Production Manager to offer support and suggestions to process enhancements that will improve quality, lower turn arounds and reduce cost.
10. To develop designs that reflect the flydubai brand’s personality.
11. Supports the team in collecting information for client assessment; may attend interviews, provide documentation support.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Minimum Qualification
• University Degree or equivalent
Experience
• Experienced and seasoned, with 4-6 years’ agency experience.
Knowledge / Skills
• Ideally have an understanding of digital media, printing process, photography, illustration and typography
• Demonstrate strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Mac OS
• A good all-rounder with strength in digital.
• A strong team player, able to lend a hand or ask for one when needed.
• Someone who sticks to deadlines and is well organized.
• Arabic speaking would be an advantage
