Procurement Support Officer Job in Melbourne Australia

An Australian manufacturing company based in the northern suburbs 35 minutes from the CBD has entered an extremely busy period and requires another pair of hands to help with the overflow of procurement work so the team can focus on more strategic work items.

Your new role

As the Procurement Support Officer you will be joining an established, tight knit team to help overcome an excess of work. You will be raising purchase orders, dealing with vendors and customers and assisting the Procurement Lead where ever possible.

What you'll need to succeed

A strong history in purchasing or procurement with an up beat and cheerful personality is a must. A background in manufacturing will help but not required. A strong customer service focus and ability to communicate with stakeholders as well as written communication skills is essential. Exposure working with Pronto will be highly regarded.

An immediate start on a 3 month contract is on offer initially but pending a strong performance and continued growth of the business you maybe offered a permanent position. You will receive an hourly rate up to $35 per hour plus super for the right candidate.
