Systems Administration & Support (Unix/Linux) Job in Cairo Egypt

Job Description:
  • Operating systems and server maintenance (install OS and hardware updates, maintain network connectivity and integrity, system performance optimization)
  • Operating system backup and recovery tasks;
  • Analysing system logs and audit and identifying potential issues with the servers, storages
  • Performing system and application backups;
  • SmartVista logs archiving;Cluster set up and monitoring;
  • Introducing and integrating new technologies into data centre environments;
  • Restore Operating system and SmartVista application files from backup in case of a disaster;
  • Technical support to SmartVista Front End and Back office administrators
  • Hardware troubleshooting together with the suppliers and coordination of hardware repair with appropriate vendors on supported platforms
  • User and roles administration based on established security policies 
  •  maintenance of the hardware and software that comprises the client network,  including deploying, configuring, maintaining and monitoring active network equipment;network, server deployment, security, and ensuring that the network connectivity throughout a client's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations at the network level of an organization's hierarchy;include activities and tasks such as network address assignment, assignment of routing protocols and routing table configuration as well as configuration of authentication;Maintenance of network facilities, It also includes maintenance of network servers: file servers, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering, or computer science 
  •  4+ Years of relevant experience in Banking Solutions Administration and system administration
  • Certified RedHat Linux / Unix Administration  
  • Oracle Administration is a plusNetwork administration is a plus
  • Excellent skills in UNIX System Management (Admin Level) concepts including but not limited to file system organization, allocation and maintenance, configuration and installation of storage subsystem, backup/restore strategies, clustering, implementation, management and troubleshooting
  • Technical expertise including administration and maintenance of RedHat Linux / AIX OS
  • Production systems administration experience and knowledge of network concepts: dynamic IP configuring, DNS, Firewalls
