What are my responsibilities?
- Manage, create and interface with all project stakeholders regarding Design, Planning, Installation Plans and As Build & Installed Shop Drawings from Design Phase through to Acceptance procedure.
- Ability to interpret the vision of the engineering team and translate it into a realistic drawing. In addition, must also possess the know how to operate all relevant computer software
- Ability to follow direction given by engineering team leader and management while paying a close attention to detailed designs, plans and variation throughout the project lifecycle
- Studying the rough sketches and deciphering the specification & requirements
- Preparing drawing with high precisions and as per required scale
- Incorporating and reflecting all details of the drawing for all communication sub systems on a single item level.
- Ability to learn the basics of whichever drawing he or she is requested to Draw
- Fluency in English Language, written and spoken
- Proven experience and certified qualification in AutoCAD Design (or similar) project within previous experience ideally within the Railways Industry or similar projects.
- Previous engineering background with basic knowledge of sub systems such as: CCTV, Radio Communications, Access Control and Fibre Network Drawing requirements
- Degree level or Suitable practical project experience of minimum duration 4 years.
- Proven success working with a team of expert engineers to design and deliver complex systems from design level to implementation and reflected within the drawings, enabling installation engineer to follow the drawings produced with ease.
- Proven experience providing time and cost driven estimates for engineering projects and tenders.
- Good knowledge of IT systems and software, especially Microsoft Office and Project.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational, time management and problem solving skills.
