The position of Regional General Manager - Retail Sales is responsible to develop Sales & Distribution strategy and plans, develop and manage distribution channels, formulate trade marketing strategy, ensure quality execution, ensure efficient coordination with relevant departments for timely support and implement improved business applications and sales processes with the objective to achieve sales targets, increase market share, provide measurable availability and visibility of Ufone products and promotions and nurture relationships with franchises and retailers within budgetary limits, corporate vision and strategy, PTA regulations, and the directives of the senior management.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide input for the development of long term plans for Ufone with regards to historical performance, market intelligence and feedback from associated stakeholders in order to develop annual plan for Sales & Distribution
- Develop specific plans with input from relevant internal stakeholders, in light of assigned targets and allocated budgets; Define and delegate annual regional targets to relevant managers with direction and points of focus; Ensure coordination with Marketing for development of required products and promotions
- Ensure efficient coordination with all relevant internal stakeholders and departments for execution of Sales Operations` activities; Supervise development of processes and procedures for execution of sales activities; Review inventory and stock management and ensure buffer levels and product availability are maintained as per standard operating procedures
- Oversee and provide region-wise input into the development of departmental budget; Ensure future initiatives are well accounted for in the budget; Review status and reports on budgetary outlay and expenses incurred on a monthly basis; Meet and discuss with relevant team managers to solicit input and provide feedback on allocated budgets and their usage; Develop course of action and amend existing expense plans, as required, in light of monthly budget report
- Ensure staff is equipped with the requisite knowledge; Identify training requirements to develop subordinates; Manage performance of direct reports through objective setting, continuous support and feedback, and formal appraisal
Education Requirement:
- Masters; Preferably MBA in Marketing
- 10 - 12 years of Sales & Distribution experience, with 5 years in a senior management role inclusive of at least 2 - 3 years within the Telecom sector
