Job Purpose
- The key purpose of this role is to drive acquisition of Credit Cards through specific channels to improve Mashreq’s share of the Credit Cards market in the UAE. The incumbent will also focus on identifying opportunities to improve sourcing-mix, drive new-to-bank and new-to-product penetration and cost efficiencies in the sales process.
Key Result Areas
- Meet yearly plan numbers related to primary and supplementary card acquisition
- Launch new product programs viz surrogates, income based programs for Primary and Supplementary Card acquisitions by working closely with Credit Policy, Operations & Sales channels and drive the right mix of customers as directed by overall payments business strategy
- Monitor and track Sales performance on a regular basis and Identify early warning signals on drop in sales numbers
- Identify and implement new cross sell & surrogate opportunities in line with overall payment business strategy
- Create alternate channels for new card acquisitions
- Increase cross-sell opportunities in existing non card bank relations
- Co-ordinate and provide training to all front end in terms of product & process
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Post Graduate in Marketing Management
- 5-6 years Marketing & Brand management experience with specific exposure of at least 3 years in a leading credit cards business.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required to be able to implement and coordinate new product launches, product revamps and other promotions, obtaining internal cross-functional support.
- The job involves strategic vision and a good understanding of the dynamics of the cards business, especially from a revenue perspective.
- The job holder should have the balance, judgement and maturity to independently evaluate and execute internal new product ideas and offers from external partners.
- Excellent analytical skills are required to be able to track portfolio trends and identify weaknesses / opportunities to capitalize on the acquisition opportunities.
- Good PC skills and system / process understanding to enable the individual to be ‘hands-on’ when involved with new product development, process automations and MIS generation.
