Senior Procurement Engineer Job in Dubai United Arab Emirates

  • Analyzing the data for determining its effect on various factors like site location, machinery requirements, specialized materials, on field labors, etc.
  • Preparing the details of various projects, analyzing the projects separately, compiling the analysis for evaluation, and developing the separate estimation report for major million dirham.
  • Developing detailed cost estimates, providing multi discipline project concepts with distinctive cost estimating procedure, beneficial for capital raising projects for the company.
  • Collaborating with various organizations for determining the exact scope of work required in estimating report, reviewing and discussing the same with procurement head for specific approach towards cost containment.
  • Providing technical support to junior engineers and other team members regarding the estimation process, assisting project managers and contractors regarding bid analysis.
  • Reviewing designing packagings , project drawings, etc., providing technical insights regarding its development, and preparing directions for estimating process accordingly.
  • Keeping track of the latest developments in estimating procedures, reviewing the same by maintaining relationship with contractors, reading about current advancements techniques in business magazines and other media, visiting the site location, and meeting other professionals involved in the estimating processes.
  • Identification of all requirements in requisition for procurement issued by Design Department.
  • Maintain the BOQ with updates from vendors until after awarding the contract.
  • Receiving and follow up the price quotations. (competitive quotes)
  • Prepare schedule of comparison.
  • Preparing work order & Coordination with Engineers and vendors Regarding Material Delivery 
  • Reiterate with designers and suppliers for finalization of quantity and quality.
  • Establish delivery terms, time and stages of inspection for the supply with Project Management Team. 
  • Ensure that all potential vendors are provided with identical information upon which the quotations are given equal opportunity to meet the desired requirements.
  • Know how to calculate the Consumption value, Company overheads and Budget.

  • Proven working experience as an Assistant Procurement Manager.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
  • Talent in negotiations and networking
  • Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying, Builing Construction Technology or BSc civil/articite engineer.
