EMEA Technical Project Coordinator (IT) Job in London United Kingdom

Role Summary: 
  • Receipt of infrastructure design package from assigned Client TPM
  • Manage implementation of design package (voice/data infrastructure such as fibre, cabling, power and cooling for server rooms and IDF’s) during project execution phase, achieve agreed project success criterias
  • Manage delivery coordinating across internal Client partner team and external parties
  • (general contractors)
  • Partner with network engineers and project managers to deliver project objectives
  • Assist the TPM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s and preliminary schedules
  • Attend site meetings and maintain meeting notes
  • Update project management tools on a weekly basis with project status, risks and issues.
  • Maintain project schedule/programme
  • Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades
  • Manage Client direct cabling contractors when designated or
  • Track General Contractor appointed data cabling and MEP contractors
  • Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans and work hours
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team
  • Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Create, track and review field inspection reports throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Maintain project documentation using agreed structured and approach
  • Manage design changes of minimal impact, escalate to TPM owner as necessary
  • Track & manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database
  • Identify, track, mitigate and communicate project risk on a weekly basis
  • Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained
  • Responsible for obtaining all project closeout documentation
  • Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others
  • Keep the Technical Project Manager (TPM) informed on project status
  • Keep other stakeholders informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations
  • Travel: assumed EMEA travel on a weekly basis

  
Experience Required: 
  • Experience and knowledge of infrastructure cabling and IDF/MDF equipment (racks, cable pathways)
  • Knowledge of server room requirements: physical space, cooling & power
  • Basic Cisco, Juniper CLI knowledge
  • Project management or Coordinator experience in network infrastructure and construction field
  • Comfortable directing delivery of IT infrastructure to agreed designs
  • Experience supporting Project Managers in the delivery of development projects.
  • Knowledge of the building development/redevelopment industry
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Optional: Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Networking or Project/Construction Management.
