- Plan medium term and short-term team goals, design and implement High impact supervisory initiatives, provide guidance, communicate priorities, assign tasks, and follow up on deliverables, set performance measures Optimize resources.- Provide contractors with proper tools, equipment, documents, and work instructions to guarantee all tasks performed as per company approved quality and safety standards in a timely and efficiently manner.- Ensure contractors utilizing proper and sufficient safety gears and working under company approved procedures to secure safe working environment and incident-free work place.- Ensure and enforce contractors’ attendance, positive participation, and engagement in all relevant company safety communication sessions and safety programs (TBT’s, training, campaigns, etc) to increase safety awareness, enhance safety performance, and meet company targets and KPI’s.- Ensure all site activities hazards and proper risk assessment are addressed and delivered to contractors to ensure safely management of site activities along with site rules.- Ensure adequate contractor supervision in place in all site activities to accomplish tasks safely, efficiently, timely while meeting company quality standards.- Monitor / Address contractor performance, initiate and implement corrective actions upon unsatisfactory performance to maintain meeting company targets and KPI’s.- Continuously review contractor man power organization and individuals’ competencies and performance to optimize man power count, utilization, and overtime while meeting company targets and KPI’s.- Establish and maintain healthy relationship with vendors / OEMs to achieve effective communication channels, secure On-Time support, and maintain competitive deals.- Follow and attend (as appropriate) Vendors / OEM periodic events and technical releases to track latest products, upgrades, and technologies and make use of lesson learnt from sister industries problems.- Directly Supervise the Outsourcing Service Providers / OEMs and ensure approved Engineering Standards Application to accomplish site activities as per company approved procedures and quality standards in a timely basis.- Be the focal point of contact for vendors / OEM’s while accomplishing tasks supervised by maintenance organization, monitoring and supporting to achieve optimum site performance In terms of safety, quality, and time frame.- Set and review with department superintendent the department assets maintenance strategy, programs, and directions in compliance with vendor recommendations, codes and standards, and best practice to ensure effective maintenance activities and optimum asset life cycle cost.- Identify, and Set-up required resources to implement maintenance activities (preventive, corrective, predictive, Inspection, and Performance Monitoring) – to meet company and maintenance department targets and KPI’s and emphasize effective resources consumption/utilization to secure optimum Maintenance cost.- Prepare and periodically review / update maintenance procedures and follow up strict adherence to ensure safe and effective maintenance activities.- Ensure all maintenance activities and assets data / records are managed and reported correctly through company CMMS (MAXIMO) to keep continuous and valid records for all assets.- Allocate and plan resources to maintain 24 hour maintenance coverage to support safe and continuous operation.- Prepare - in conjunction with Planning and Department Superintendent - and execute plant shutdown and turnarounds maintenance activity plans to meet company targets and KPI’s.- Establish and maintain effective and sustainable business relationship with technical department and reliability team counterparts to support reaching assets reliability / integrity targets and clear out plant vulnerability issues.- Ensure all assets under custody are operating and performing within the design envelop and propose corrective actions accordingly.- Plan and organize a large volume of work taking into consideration frequent interruptions, and conflicting and changing priorities to meet tight deadlines.- Develop inventory list of all required assets and equipment spares (operational and capital spares) with optimum Min/Max levels satisfying plant safe operating targets and meeting optimum cost – and order accordingly. This will be done via interchangeability study, quoting OEM’s and alternative competitive suppliers, proposing alternative parts and securing obsolete spares.- Continuously Support cost effective consumption and cost vs benefit decision.- Ensure spares are correctly described, ordered, received, stored, and preserved in accordance to manufacturing recommendation to be fit for use upon need.- Continuously communicate - and report as appropriate - with other dept’s (technical, operations, reliability team, other sites, etc …) to ensure plant vulnerability and reliability issues are addressed, investigated, and effective action plans in place.- Use Management of Change System (MOC) in all discipline activities improvements and modifications.- Utilize company document management system (Meridian) in managing company -controlled documents to ensure valid and credible information.- Lead / Participate in plant RCA / RCFA.- Propose discipline OPEX and CAPEX budget to department Superintendent according to discipline business plan ensuring value against cost.Qualifications
- B.Sc. Engineering (Mechanical)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in area of Rotating Equipment in Oil and Gas
Minimum Certifications, Licenses and Training
- Certified Vibration Analysis level 2-Oil Analysis
- Experience in People supervision.
- Experience in Contracts administration and budget control.
- Comprehension of Machinery vibrational Analysis and Predictive Maintenance
- Comprehension of design, application and maintenance of plant rotating equipment.
- Comprehension of rotating maintenance operations as well as reliability applicable concepts.
- Comprehension of rotating equipment maintenance strategies and standards.
- Familiarity with turbine controls, anti-surge controls, performance control and shut down systems is desired.
- Proficiency of pumps, compressors. Steam turbines and turbo expander.
- Proficiency of utilizing industry standards and codes.
- Understanding of risk management techniques.
- Skills of report writing skills.
- Hands-on skills in using CMMS systems ( Maximo, INDUS, etc..)
- Thorough knowledge of industry standards and codes for rotating equipment.
- Proven experience with large pumps, compressors. Steam turbines and turbo expander is an added advantage. Knowledge of vibration analysis for rotating equipment & predictive maintenance is desired.
- Outstanding practical knowledge of industry standards and codes and certifications in vibration analysis, root cause failure analysis, lubrication and others are preferred.
- Demonstrable understanding of risk management.
