- Job Description
- • Support all HES Activities / Initiatives
- • Observe for unsafe acts / unsafe conditions and raise observation cards.
- • Participate in Behavioral Based Safety (BBS).
- • Fully support and participate in all Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives.
- • Compliance with Ethics policies.
- • Adheres to Project Execution Procedures.
- • Reporting to Quality Manager –Okpo Yard
- • Monitor implementation of company, project and sub-contract HSE policies and procedures
- • The QC Lead Electrical Inspector will be responsible to supervise and coordinate the activities of QC Electrical Inspectors.
- • Verification and monitoring of contractor and sub-contractors quality control activities for electrical equipment installation during module fabrication/erection.
- • Technically supervise all company equipment inspectors
- • Train all company equipment inspectors if/when required.
- • Ensure all company inspectors are familiar with project requirements applicable to the work they inspect.
- • Ensure area inspectors have the proper qualification and certification for the work they inspect
- • Review and approve all contractors’ equipment installation ITP’s and method statements.
- • Assist completions on the alignment of QVDs with
- • Ensure all IEC EX 60079 equipment is received, preserved, installed, inspected and documented in accordance with the code.
- • Supervise inspection of electrical equipment foundations and verify survey results
- • Supervise inspection of installation of electrical equipment such as transformers switchgear, and generators to include, setting, grounding, termination, testing and final inspection
- • Supervise inspection of cable installation including, conduit, cable trays, earthing, terminations, continuity testing and Hi-pot testing,
- • Supervise inspection of the installation and testing of electric heat trace (EHT) systems including monitoring and inspection of heat tracing installation, witness continuity, final test in coordination with the contractors and vendor representative’s electrical inspector
- • Monitor and verify that all equipment inspections and testing activities are carried out according to approved ITP’s contractor procedures and project specifications
- • Inspect installation of electrical equipment including; clearances, correct support configuration, internals installation, terminations and final closure
- • Verify equipment is inspected after completion to ensure all components are per the drawing and report deficiencies on the punch list
- • Monitor and verify equipment preservation
- • Liaise with Construction, Completions, Commissioning and Engineering Supervisors on electrical equipment quality matters.
- • Ensure all QC procedures and process controls relating to electrical items/equipment are being implemented
- • Supervise witnessing of all tests including verification and calibration of electrical instrumentation and safety devices
- • Conduct reinstatement walk down and log outstanding items on the punch list
- • Liaise with client and RA to coordinate ITP activities in accordance with documented and planned requirements
- • Supervise review and verification manufacturing records for accuracy including as built drawings
- • Provide daily, weekly, fortnightly progress reports to the fabrication team as required.
